If you're planning to raise finance for your new business venture we may be able to help you.

A pre-requirement of any application for business finance is a robust business plan for a viable business. As well as being able to offer objective advice and help with business plan preparation, we can refer you to likely funding sources, both loans and where available grants.

Generally finance comes in four different formats: -
  • Your own contribution - not always required.
  • Supportive funding with the support of Government, Europe or a Charitable Function. Examples would be the One London Start Up Fund and The Princes Trust.
  • Commercial such as Banks.
  • Equity. This might simply be selling a part of your business to friends and family. Alternatively, it may be possible for approaches to be made to Business Angels.
(As far as Equity finance is concerned, it is likely that a Business Angel will want to see an existing product and a customer base.)

The Portobello Business Centre can also provide a limited amount of finance to residents, registered unemployed and living in the North Kensington area of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.
